The Tennessee Strawberry Festival in Dayton, Tennessee

April 29 thru May 13, 2017

There is no other place this Dayton native would rather be April 29 thru May 13, 2017 than The Tennessee Strawberry Festival in Dayton Tennessee. We will be celebrating our 70th annual festival in 2017.

The festival showcases our community arts and crafts, food, entertainment, historic courthouse and downtown area beauty, and commitment to family values. We begin with a pageant April 29 for ages birth to 20 years with a $1,000 scholarship paid to the winning male and female in the 16 to 20 age category. Scholarship is sponsored by Tammy Gonzalez of Farmers Insurance and the Dayton Chamber of Commerce. There is a family fun night sponsored by Dayton Drug and Wellness on Monday May 8 free admission and fun and games for all with entertainment by Tennessee Valley Theater and wooden crafts by Lowes Home Improvement. The magnificent Kissel Shows carnival will be in town May 9 through May 13. Wednesday night May 10 will be our cookout and shortcake night and will display the talents of our local dance and tumbling groups on Centennial Park stage.  The Dayton Arts League will have art available in the Historic Scopes Trial Courthouse May 12 and 13th.  There will be an auction held in the historic courtroom and a classic car cruise-in and block party on Market Street Friday night May 12 with local band, ManShoes. Saturday, May 13, Rc3 will host a 1 mile fun run and 5K run through historic downtown Dayton. There will be a parade down Market Street, and all day entertainment on 2 stages, arts and crafts, food, and fun and games for the kids. The Dayton Chamber of Commerce and the businesses it represents would like to thank the community for the support and patronage received through the year.

Come celebrate 70 years of small town life and community with us.  Be sure to visit our Facebook page for more TSF news.
